The bridge at River Road has been reopened!
Detours are no longer needed.
Currently, and lasting for about a month (until mid-July), River Road is closed at the Tucquan Creek Bridge for construction. The Tucquan Glen parking areas cannot be reached coming in from the south on River Road.
Currently the Tucquan Glen parking areas can be reached by River Road coming from the north direction. Eventually sometime this summer the road will be closed from the north. 1. To reach Tucquan Glen from PA 372 (Holtwood Rd.), go 2 miles northeast on PA 372 and turn left (northwest) onto Hilldale Road.
2. If traveling from PA 272, go about 5 miles west on PA 372 and turn right onto Hilldale Road.
Go north on Hilldale Rd. 2.5 miles and turn left onto Bradys Hill Road. After 0.4 miles continue to left onto Dout’s Hill Rd. at intersection. Continue 1.25 miles to River Rd. and take a left to reach Tucquan Glen’s two parking areas.
If you reach the River Road closure coming from the south along River Road, turn around and go south on River Road. Turn left onto McKelvey Lane, and then left on Hilldale Road.
As described above, turn left onto Bradys Hill Rd. Continue to left onto Dout’s Hill Rd. at intersection.
Continue to the River Road intersection and take a left to reach Tucquan Glen’s two parking areas.
