You are invited to participate in an exciting environmental education experience in Lancaster County! The Lancaster County Conservancy will be hosting a 24-hour fall BioBlitz at Climbers Run Nature Preserve, located at 226 Frogtown Road, Pequea, PA. This 80 acre preserve is home to our new educational center called the Susquehanna Riverlands Research and Education Center.
The BioBlitz will begin at Noon on Saturday, September 20, 2014 with an opening ceremony and conclude on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Noon with a final species tally.
Hours Open to the Public
Saturday, Noon to 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, 7 a.m. to Noon
Free event, however, a donation of $10.00 would be welcomed.
Please note:If you are a guest and just visiting the preserve during the public hours (and not a scientist or field expert) please use the schedule above.

Come for an hour to see a botanist identify plants or for multiple educational opportunities with scientists and other field specialists from entomologists to herpetologists throughout the public hours of the event!
Registration is required. All attendees are encouraged to carpool if possible to this preserve.
Directions: From Lancaster – Manor Street – Left at intersection on Millersville Pike – Millersville Pike becomes 324 South and Marticville Road. Continue on Millersville Pike / 324 South /Marticville Road to the intersection of Marticville Road and Frogtown Road. Turn Left on Frogtown Road and then take the first Right to reach Climbers Run Nature Preserve.
