Ecology and Management
Wissler Run is managed for its habitat being of highest and best use.
Wissler Run is a landlocked parcel that serves as interior forest habitat largely impenetrable due to dense rhododendron. The forest of Wissler Run stays cool and dark even in midday summer sun due to the dense canopy of mature hemlock trees. Schist outcrops protrude from the landscape and provide habitat for large mammals.
Watershed
Wissler Run is a direct tributary of the Susquehanna River.
