Bird Club to Help Complete Forest Garden

We are grateful to the Lancaster County Bird Club (LCBC) for partnering with the Conservancy to help complete the restoration and planting of the Falmouth Forest Garden! These five acres of forested floodplain along the Northwest River Trail reside within the Conoy Wetlands Nature Preserve, and once fully restored will provide both critical wildlife habitat and educational opportunities for our community.

Thanks to the generosity of LCBC donors Len and Pat Eiserer, as well as matching gifts from both a LCBC board member and a Conservancy donor, the completion of this project could be in sight with your help!

We hope you will read the following and consider donating using the directions provided by LCBC below to help finish the Falmouth Forest Garden!

“The LCBC board has agreed to make a contribution to this project and we are asking our members to consider supporting us in this effort. An LCBC board member has pledged up to $750 to match the gifts from our members. The LCC has a donor that will match whatever we raise up to $2000. If all funds are raised, we will have $5000 to complete the project which includes site restoration and planting of native trees, shrubs, and other plants that benefit wildlife in our area. Please join us by sending a check (no amount is too small) made out to Lancaster County Bird Club to our treasurer Nina Wolf at 168 Buck Heights Road, Quarryville, PA 17566. Please mark on the memo line of the check, Forest Garden Project, and send to Nina by November 1, 2020. Let’s all work together to help restore wildlife habitat in Lancaster County.”
